Abstract:
Solids flowmeters available for accurate measurements and control of pneumatically conveyed solids are discussed. The use of mass flowmeters combined with actuated flow restrictors can control the solids split between two conveyors fed from a bifurcator. The control system is extendable to the larger diameters used in commercial power generation.
